DAY 1 Study Guide 语言点

1. 把 A 称为 chēngwéi B  (refer A as B)
   例：在中国，人们把大学的入学考试称为高考。
2. 举行jǔxíng+高考/比赛/活动/婚礼 wedding （to hold/conduct）
   例：中国一年只举行一次高考。
3. 整个zhěngge+ period/duration of time +都在 v.p.  （entire period/duration of time）
   例：他整个高中三年都在为高考做准备。
4. S不但……,同时也……（ not only…，at the same time…）
   例：高考不但决定了你的大学，同时也决定了你的专业。
5. 重考 chóngkǎo (重=again; take the exam again)
   例：她今年的高考考得很不理想，明年准备重考。

Day 2 Study Guide 语言点

1. 体现 (tǐxiàn) …….的精神(jīngshén = embody or reflect some kind of spirit
   体现公平竞争的精神
2. 给/为somebody提供 (tígōng; provide) something
   给/为sb.提供tígōng帮助
   给/为sb.提供tígōng机会
   给/为sb.提供tígōng资源(zīyuán; resources)
3. 受到 ……的影响
   受到…….的影响 = to be affected by.. (passive voice)
   受到…….的欢迎 = to be welcomed by ..(passive voice)
4. …….(很/非常)有/没有+道理 （reasonable/make sense）

Day 3 Study Guide 语言点

1. A(对 B)有负面fùmiàn/正面zhèngmiàn(的)影响
2. 表面上biǎomiànshàng……, 其实qíshí/实际上 shíjìshàng
3. A 被 B 录取 lùqǔ (admit, accept)
4. A 取决于 qǔjuéyú B (A is determined by B)
5. 总之zǒngzhī=总而言之zǒngéryánzhī，a complete sentence indicative of a conclusion
